This tool returns a cluster blocklist hit (yes/no, with severity if matched) and a count of the investigated fraud entities we hold for that jurisdiction. It runs no sanctions screen at all, not list-by-list matches, not a count. Sanctions screening runs in the paid Counterparty Screen and Counterparty File.

What this is NOT

-A sanctions screen of any kind. This tool does not query a sanctions list; the eight-list screen runs in the Counterparty Screen and the Counterparty File.
-A clean bill of health. Cluster absence ≠ verified clean: it means we have no first-party investigation linking them to a known fraud pattern.
-A substitute for documentary KYC. The three-document test (named principal, corporate email, corporate letterhead) still applies.

Do I have to give my email?›

No. Leave it blank and you get the full result instantly (rate-limited by IP to keep it sane). Add your email and we send you the result and alert you if that counterparty is later added to a cluster. Your email goes into our compliance-team inbox, not a third-party CRM. No marketing automation, no third-party tracking.

What data does the check run against?›

OilFlow's verified-fraudulent cluster blocklist: counterparties we have first-party investigated and confirmed (Simar Chahal Chevron-CEO impersonation, Ahmad Pinnacle layer-cake, Russia-Türkiye dark-fleet, and continuously-added new clusters). Severity tiers: confirmed / likely / suspected.

Why don't you show sanctions list details?›

The free tier is honest about its scope. The eight-list sanctions screen (OFAC SDN, OFAC Consolidated, UN, EU, UK HMT, Canadian SEMA, Australian DFAT, Swiss SECO) runs against the indexed lists and ships a structured document: that is the paid Counterparty Screen at $95, or the Counterparty File at $500 when you need a named human's written judgement and signature. PEP is not screened in either one.

Past that, order a Counterparty Screen at $95 on the name you care about, or a Counterparty File at $500 when you need a named human's written judgement and signature. Does a clean result mean the counterparty is safe to onboard?›

No. A clean result means the counterparty did not match a verified-fraudulent cluster in our investigated corpus. Documentary KYC, jurisdictional license verification, and ongoing monitoring all still apply. The free tool is a pre-screen, not a clearance.

What if I hit a confirmed cluster?›

Stop the onboarding. Document the hit. Email the result to your line manager and your bank's MLRO. If you can, contribute the counterparty's broker chain back to the cluster intelligence corpus via the Compliance Index contributor channel.
